MMA1T00-HS Compatible QSFP56 200GBASE-SR4 InfiniBand HDR Optical Transceiver (MMF, 850nm, 100m, MPO-12/UPC, DOM)

The MMA1T00-HS Compatible QSFP56 InfiniBand HDR Optical Transceiver is an InfiniBand 200Gb/s Single-port QSFP56, SR4 multimode parallel transceiver using a single, 4-channel MPO-12/UPC optical connector. The parallel multimode, short reach 4-channel (SR4) uses 50G-PAM4 modulation and has a maximum fiber reach of 100 meters using 4 multimode fibers. It is qualified for use in InfiniBand HDR end-to-end systems.

It is the ideal solution for supercomputing, seamlessly integrating into computing and storage infrastructure to ensure efficient, high-performance interconnectivity. Used in QM8700/QM8790 switches and ConnectX-6 adapters

Q: Can a 100G rate be upgraded without changing the type of fiber?

A: Yes. Since the 200G SR4 and the 100G SR4 have the same interface type, upgrading from 100G to 200G is straightforward and doesn't need switching fiber types.
 
Q: Is QSFP56 the same size as QSFP28? Can the QSFP-SR4-200G be used on the QSFP28 port?

A: QSFP56 and QSFP28 are the same size, but the electrical interface and signaling requirements of the 200G QSFP56 module are different from those of the 100G QSFP28 module. The QSFP28 port cannot provide the necessary signaling and data rate support for the 200G QSFP56 module, so it cannot be used in the QSFP28 port.
 
Q: What is the modulation method used in this module?

A: The 200G QSFP transceiver operates at a data rate of 50Gb/s PAM-4, using four electrical channels in each direction.
 
Q:If hypothetically we had a problem where we don't know if the issue is with the modules or with the Mellanox switches, or maybe a Mellanox switch failure due to a module's problem, would you provide us technical support?
